Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford signed on for the lead roles in the Paramount+ "Yellowstone" prequel series "1932." The show will introduce a new generation of Dutton Family members during a tumultuous period in the Mountain West. More: "Yellowstone" creator Taylor Sheridan developed the new series, which follows another "Yellowstone" prequel, "1883." Yet another "Yellowstone" spinoff series -- titled "6666" -- is also in development at Paramount+. No specifics on Ford or Mirren's roles were released. Though Paramount Global produces "Yellowstone," and the series airs on cable's Paramount Network, episodes of the main series stream on NBCUniversal's Peacock rather than Paramount+ due to a prior licensing deal. Mirren starred in the classic ITV drama "Prime Suspect" and HBO's "Catherine the Great" miniseries; Ford's first major TV role will be in Apple's upcoming comedy series "Shrinking."
