According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Daredevil" stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio will both reprise their roles for the upcoming Disney+ Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) tie-in series "Echo." Cox plays blind lawyer-turned-superhero Matt Mudrock aka Daredevil, while D'Onofrio is the infamous crime lord Wilson Fisk, better known as Kingpin. More: The series will center on Fisk's adopted daughter, Echo (Alaqua Cox, no relation), who becomes an ally of Murdock's. Alaqua Cox made her debut as Echo in the Disney+ MCU series "Hawkeye," in which D'Onofrio also appeared. Charlie Cox made a recent cameo as Daredevil in the MCU film "Spider-Man: No Way Home." The "Daredevil" series was part of the "Defenders Saga," a group of interconnected shows originally produced for Netflix; it's now streaming on Disney+. COLLIDER

"Stranger Things" creators Matt and Ross Duffer formed a new company, Upside Down Pictures, that will produce a variety of upcoming Netflix projects. BBC America and MRC vet Hilary Leavitt will run the new company; recent streaming series she's helped to develop include "Ozark," "The Great," and "Shining Girls." More: The Duffers said the company will focus on telling stories "that take place at that beautiful crossroads where the ordinary meets the extraordinary." Upside Down is developing a stage play set within the world of "Stranger Things," to be produced by filmmaker Stephen Daldry ("Billy Elliot"). The company is continuing work on the mystery "Stranger Things" spinoff the Duffers have been teasing in the press. As well, Upside Down is working on a live-action series based on the manga and anime "Death Note"; an original series from "Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance" vets Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews; and a series adaptation of the 1984 Stephen King/Peter Straub novel "The Talisman." DAILY CALENDAR THURSDAY, JULY 7 MOONHAVEN: Sci-fi series set 100 years in the future, about a lunar cargo pilot and smuggler (Emma McDonald) who finds herself marooned on a utopian moon colony that's researching solutions to humanity's biggest problems. Once there, however, she uncovers a dark conspiracy involving the artificial intelligence that runs the colony. The cast also includes Kadeem Hardison, Dominic Monaghan, Joe Manganiello, Ayelet Zurer, and Chloe Harris. [AMC+] THE FLASH: Season 8 of the CW superhero drama -- part of the network's "Arrowverse" of DC Comics adaptations -- wrapped up its TV run in June and comes to Netflix in its entirety today. Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Danielle Nicolet, and Jesse L. Martin co-star. The show has been renewed for a ninth season. [Netflix] KARMA'S WORLD: The animated musical comedy series for kids returns for a third season on Thursday. The show centers on 10-year-old Karma Grant (Asiahn Bryant), an aspiring rapper who uses her rhymes and her imagination to solve problems. Chris "Ludacris" Bridges created the series and provides the voice of Karma's dad. [Netflix] VINLAND SAGA: International hit anime series set during the Viking era, following a young Icelandic explorer and based on the manga by Makoto Yukimura. Wit Studio ("Attack on Titan") produced. Season 1 comes to Netflix today. [Netflix] ANCIENT ENGINEERING: Educational docuseries exploring extraordinary structures, designs, and inventions from across the ancient world, with a focus on the early engineers who planned and supervised their construction. Season 2 -- which includes looks an historical house building along with early bridges and waterways -- comes to CuriosityStream today. [CuriosityStream] ULTRASOUND: 2021 sci-fi thriller from first-time director Rob Schroeder, based on the comic book "Generous Bosom" by Conor Stechschulte. "Mad Men" vet Vincent Kartheiser stars as a man who spends an unusual night with a married couple after having car trouble, kicking off an increasingly bizarre series of events. Chelsea Lopez, Breeda Wool, Tunde Adebimpe, Rainey Qualley, and Bob Stephenson co-star. [Hulu] HOW A REALIST HERO REBUILT THE KINGDOM: Anime series based on the light novels by Dojyomaru and Fuyuyuki, about a young humanities scholar who must put his education to practical use when he unexpectedly assumes his kingdom's throne. The first season debuted in 2021 on Japanese TV and comes to Hulu in the US today. [Hulu] VISITORS: Debut French sci-fi comedy series from creator, writer, and director Simon Astier ("Hero Corp"). He also stars as a rookie police officer whose first day on the job is interrupted by an alien invasion. Damien Jouillerot, Delphine Baril, Vincent Desagnat, and Henri Guybet co-star. [HBO Max] MISS S (QI PAO MEI TAN): Mystery-romance series from China, about the unexpected investigative partnership that forms between a detective (Weiguang Gao) and a beautiful socialite (Guanjin Bu) who's searching for her missing sister. The first season debuts in the US today on HBO Max. [HBO Max] ON THE 3rd DAY (AL TERCER DÍA): 2021 fantasy-horror film from Argentine director Daniel de la Vega, starring Mariana Anghileri as a mother who wakes up three days after experiencing a brutal car accident to find that her son has mysteriously vanished. [Shudder]

Paramount+ renewed the supernatural procedural drama series "Evil" for Season 4. The show is currently in the midst of its third season; new episodes debut on Sundays. More: Mike Colter, Katja Herbers, and Aasif Mandvi co-star as a trio of paranormal investigators working for the Vatican. The supporting cast includes Michael Emerson, Christine Lahti, Kurt Fuller, and Andrea Martin; Michelle and Robert King co-created the series and serve as showrunners. "Evil" debuted on CBS before moving over to Paramount+ for its second season. DEADLINE

Jerry Harris, a 22-year-old cheerleader featured in the Netflix sports docuseries "Cheer," was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Wednesday by a federal judge in Chicago. Harris pleaded guilty to two of seven charges involving allegations of sexual abuse against minors. More: Harris faced up to 50 years in prison but reached an agreement with prosecutors; he initially pleaded not guilty to all seven charges. He will also serve eight years of supervised release upon exiting prison. Harris apologized to his underage victims, saying "I am not an evil person." Among the charges to which Harris pleaded guilty: traveling to Florida to engage in sexual contact with a 15-year-old, and paying a 17-year-old to send him explicit photos. Harris' attorney, Todd Pugh, related the crimes to his client's own upbringing, which included "extreme poverty, sexual abuse, and neglect." FORBES

Hulu's future remains uncertain as Disney's 2024 deadline for purchasing Comcast's outstanding shares fast approaches. In 2019, when Disney acquired Fox's 33% stake in Hulu, Comcast CEO Brian Roberts agreed to hold on to his company's 33% share in the streamer until January of 2024. More: In 2024, Comcast can legally compel Disney to purchase its 33% of Hulu at a minimum total valuation of $27.5 billion, or potentially more depending on fair market value. Hulu occupies an uncertain space in the Disney streaming landscape; it's US only, and has just 41 million subscribers, compared to Disney+'s 138 million. According to CNBC, executives from both Comcast and Disney are currently re-evaluating alternatives to the 2019 deal; some analysts have suggested that Comcast should instead purchase Disney's shares. FX dropped a trailer for Season 2 of the comedy-drama series "Reservation Dogs." The new season premieres exclusively on Hulu on August 3. More: The series comes from co-creators Taika Waititi and Sterlin Harjo. It centers on a group of Native American teens living on an Oklahoma reservation and greiving the death of their friend. The main cast includes Devery Jacobs, Paulina Alexis, D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Lane Factor, and Elva Guerra; Dallas Goldtooth, Jana Schmieding, Bobby Lee, and Wes Studi will reprise their Season 1 guest roles. Newcomers in Season 2 include Megan Mullally and Marc Maron. AV CLUB

HBO released a trailer for Nathan Fielder's experimental comedy series, "The Rehearsal." In the new limited series, the "Nathan for You" vet gives six people an opportunity to exhaustively rehearse and plan out upcoming moments in their real lives. More: Fielder helps his subjects organize simulated practice sessions for real-world scenarios, including building replicas of their real homes. The full run of "Nathan for You" is currently streaming on both HBO Max and Paramount+. "The Rehearsal" debuts on HBO and HBO Max on July 15. VULTURE

Actors Barry Keoghan and Brian Gleeson joined the cast of the Netflix crime drama revival "Top Boy" for its upcoming third and final season. The new episodes are currently shooting in London. More: Koeghan and Gleeson are playing new characters named Jonny and Tadgh, respectively. Keoghan has appeared in a number of recent films, including "The Killing of a Sacred Deer," "Dunkirk," "Eternals," and "The Batman." Gleeson co-created and co-stars in the Channel 4 comedy series "Frank of Ireland" alongside his brother, Domhnall. Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson co-star in "Top Boy," which centers on drug dealers living in a public housing estate in the East London borough of Hackney. Netflix and executive producer Drake revived the series after its 2013 cancellation by Channel 4. DEADLINE
