| A message from our sponsor, PUBLIC.COM. | | | Lock in a 5% Yield on Your Cash in Less than 30 Seconds Treasury Accounts are officially live on Public, offering a new way to lock in a 5.0% yield on your cash in literally seconds. (That’s significantly higher than a high-yield savings account.) It’s easy to get started. Once you create your Treasury Account, you can move your cash into the safety of US Treasury bills. As a Public member, you can now instantly invest your cash in 26-week Treasury bills. Here are the steps: - At the time of your deposit, you lock a fixed rate of return, backed by the full faith and credit of the US government.
- Public then stores your Treasury bills at The Bank of New York Mellon—the world's largest custodian bank and securities services company.
- Once your Treasury bills reach maturity, they are automatically reinvested, so you have one less thing to think about.
- However, you also have the option to sell your Treasury bills at any time—even before they reach maturity. So, it's the best of both worlds: the high yield of US Treasuries and the flexibility of a savings account.

| 5 | | On Wednesday, the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee held a hearing on whether to lower speeds for freight trucking. "If you slow all trucks down to 60 mph, it's going to take more trucks to move the same amount of freight, which adds to more congestion," said Lewie Pugh, executive vice president of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association. More: - Earlier this month, Rep. Josh Brecheen (R-Okla.) introduced the DRIVE Act, which would prohibit the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration from "implementing any rule or regulation requiring vehicles over 26,000 pounds that are engaged in interstate commerce to be equipped with a speed limiting device set to a maximum speed."
- The DRIVE Act is being proposed in response to the FMCSA's notice of intent for interstate commercial trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 26,001 pounds or more to contain an electronic engine control unit capable of limiting to a maximum speed that would be determined.
- During the session, the president and CEO of the Transportation Intermediaries Association, Anne Reinke, also testified by calling for increased oversight and enforcement by the FMCSA of illegal brokers.

The company unifies different data sources for freight outcomes optimized for shippers and carriers. More: - "There are a lot of generic solutions that miss a lot of important components and do not account for industry context. You need to know what the seasonality is and how much lead time you will receive," said the startup's CEO and co-founder, Ryan Soskin.
- GoodShip claims to have reduced clients' late shipments by 20% and freight spend by 3% to 5%.
- The round, which brings the company's total funding to $7.4M, included participation by Fuse VC, Cercano Management, and Jett McCandless.
