Actors Tim Robbins and Leslie Mann both exited the cast of the upcoming Amazon thriller series "The Power." The series is based on the 2016 novel by author Naomi Alderman, and is set in a world in which women have the innate ability to electrocute other people at will. More: Mann joined the project in 2019, prior to COVID-related delays. Robbins signed on in January 2021, replacing Rainn Wilson. Both roles will be recast, and portions of the first season will be reshot with new actors. The first season of the series will feature an all-female writers room. HOLLYWOOD REPORTER

Comedian Bo Burnham released over an hour of unreleased material shot for his hit 2021 Netflix comedy special "Inside" for free on YouTube. The supplemental video, titled "The Inside Outtakes," commemorates the original special's 1-year anniversary. More: In a post to social media, Burnham told fans he'd spent two months putting together "material that I shot for the special but didn't end up using." Burnham recorded "Inside" himself without a crew or an audience during the pandemic lockdown; the special won three Creative Arts Emmys last year. DEADLINE

[HBO Max] MIAMI VICE (EXTENDED VERSION): Michael Mann's unrated "Director's Cut" of the 2006 crime drama -- inspired by the iconic '80s TV series -- adds 7 minutes to the film, including an extended boat race opening. Disney released a trailer for the upcoming live-action adaptation of the animated classic "Pinocchio." The film comes to Disney+ on September 8. More: Benjamin Evan Ainsworth stars as the wooden puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy. The cast also includes Tom Hanks as Pinocchio's woodcutter "father" Geppetto; Joseph Gorden-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket; and Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy. Disney's original "Pinocchio" was released in 1940 as the studio's second-ever animated feature film; it won two Oscars, both for its music. A totally separate adaptation of the original story "Pinocchio" -- a stop-motion animated version from director Guillermo del Toro -- debuts on Netflix in December. POLYGON

@StarWars on Twitter Moses Ingram, who stars on "Obi-Wan Kenobi" as the brutal Inquisitor Reva, shared on social media that she has received "hundreds" of racist messages from "Star Wars" fans. The official "Star Wars" Twitter account posted a statement supporting Ingram and vowing "If anyone intends to make her feel in any way unwelcome, we have only one thing to say: we resist." More: In her original (now deleted) Instagram post, Ingram said: "There’s nothing anybody can do about this. There’s nothing anybody can do to stop this hate... I question my purpose in even being here in front of you saying that this is happening." Prior to the May 27 debut of "Obi-Wan," Ingram told The Independent that she'd been warned about potential online harassment by Lucasfilm executives. In the past, actors of color including John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran have discussed the online backlash to their casting and appearances in the franchise.
