"Yellowstone" ViacomCBS reversed plans to rebrand the Paramount Network as the Paramount Movie Network. The name change was first announced in September 2020, along with a now-canceled plan to air 52 original movies per year. More: - Development on the original films had initially been overseen by Meghan Hooper White, a former A+E Networks executive who departed ViacomCBS back in May 2021.
- The recent breakout success of the Paramount Network drama series "Yellowstone" apparently factored into the company's decision.
- Some Paramount Network shows, such as the reality competition series "Ink Master," have already moved on to the Paramount+ streaming service; others, including "Bar Rescue," will remain in place.

- Jon Steinberg ("Black Sails") wrote the pilot and will serve as co-showrunner alongside his producing partner, Dan Shotz; James Bobin ("The Mysterious Benedict Society") will direct the pilot.
- The books center on a 12-year-old boy, Percy Jackson, who discovers that he's a demigod; when he's accused of stealing Zeus' lightning bolt, Percy travels across the US, meeting other demigods, in a quest to restore order to Olympus.
