Breaking News: Aguilar wins Nevada secretary of state, beating Trump-endorsed election denier

Democrat Cisco Aguilar will be Nevada's next secretary of state, beating Republican Jim Marchant, the leader of a group of Donald Trump supporters who claim the 2020 election was stolen from the former president.

Marchant, a former state lawmaker endorsed by Trump, is the founder of the America First Secretary of State Coalition, which advocates for more restrictive ballot access laws in their states.

Aguilar, an attorney and first-time candidate, cast himself as a bulwark against Marchant, who had intimated that he would try to make it easier for Trump to win his state in a comeback run for president.
