- The Reality Labs division lost $3.7B in Q3 2022, and Meta’s stock dropped over 73% YoY.
- Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg asserts that the company will shift its business strategy toward more lucrative areas, including its AI Discovery Engine and advertising and business messaging platforms.

Palmer Luckey, entrepreneur and founder of Oculus VR, has developed a VR headset called "NerveGear" that supposedly kills the user if they die in a VR game. The new headset is said to contain a photo sensor that detects when a person dies based on the game-over screen displayed. More: - Once the user dies virtually, the headset is programmed to "instantly destroy" their brain.
- The technology has not yet been perfected, but Luckey says he wants to make it impossible to take off or break the headset so that the user stays in virtual reality forever.
- There are concerns that the headset's technology could malfunction and kill someone at the wrong time.
- Luckey says he has not yet attempted to use the "NerveGear" headset out of fear.
- The headset is intended to be "just a piece of office art" rather than an actual gaming device.

Professional falconer Paul Klima strapped an Insta360 RS camera to the back of an eagle as it took flight around the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. The video has received over 22,000 likes on Instagram. More: - The aim of the footage, Klima says, is to provide a virtual flight experience from a first-person perspective in a scenic location.
- Disney’s Sleeping Beauty castle was modeled after this one, which is situated on a nature preserve in Southwestern Bavaria.
- Klima had originally thought of the idea to film atop an eagle in 2007, but there were no cameras small enough at the time. However, technology has developed substantially since then, thus helping his idea come to fruition.
- The Eagle POV 360 can also be viewed on YouTube.
