Warner Bros. Discovery's HBO Max service is once again available for subscription through the third-party Amazon Prime Video Channels platform. Making HBO Max available via Amazon was a major priority for former WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar, but this decision was reversed in 2021 in the hopes of promoting the standalone service. More: No duration for the new WBD/Amazon deal was specified, but Deadline suggests that it will likely extend for five years. Discovery+ -- which is expected to merge with HBO Max in 2023 -- is already available via Prime Video Channels. Prime members can sign up for HBO Max via Amazon for $14.99 per month. DEADLINE

According to Netflix, the scripted true-crime series "Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story" was viewed for more than 1 billion hours between its September 21 debut and November 20. Only two previous Netflix TV seasons -- "Squid Game" and Season 4 of "Stranger Things" -- have hit this milestone within 60 days online. More: Notably, both "Squid Game" and "Stranger Things" took far less than 60 days to get to 1 billion views, making it there in their first month. "Stranger Things" remains Netflix's overall most popular English-language series; Season 4 has been viewed for about 1.35 billion hours to date. Though the Ryan Murphy-produced series was originally announced as a standalone project, Netflix now plans to turn "Monster" into an anthology, with each season profiling a different "monstrous figure." Studio STXalterantive is shopping around the reality dating series "FBoy Island" following its cancellation by HBO Max. The show ran for two seasons on HBO Max and was among the streamer's biggest non-scripted hits. More: Despite the show's relative success, its cancellation was not a surprise, as HBO Max announced plans to slow its production of unscripted original series. According to Deadline, "FBoy Island" was far more costly to produce than comparable reality series developed at Discovery. The series featured three single women getting to know a group of 24 men at a resort in the Cayman Islands, with the twist that 12 men were genuinely there to find love while the others were "FBoys" solely interested in competing for a cash prize. Roku grabbed the English-language streaming rights to the 2023 Miss Universe Pageant. The competition will stream exclusively on Roku Channel in the US on January 14 from New Orleans, Louisiana. More: This marks the pageant's first time debuting on a streaming service; for the past several years, it aired on the Fox TV network. Telemundo will carry a Spanish-language TV broadcast of the pageant as well. The pageant was once a significant ratings draw, and aired for more than 40 years on CBS. In recent years, the show's popularity has declined; Fox's 2021 telecast averaged around 2.83 million viewers. The Miss Universe organization was purchased earlier this year by Thailand's JKN Global Group from Endeavor's IMG, which acquired it in 2015 from Donald Trump. HOLLYWOOD REPORTER
