It's unlikely the PSVR 2 will ever connect to VR-compatible PCs. Unlike other standalone headsets, which users can rig to play PC games, Sony developed the headset so buyers can only use it with the PlayStation 5 via a USB-C cable. More: - The limitation was discovered by iVRy Driver's software developer.
- Now Reddit users are cautioning people who would likely want to use the VR headset to run PC applications from purchasing the headset.
- While unofficial hardware that could help users connect the headset to a PC may appear in the future, there's no guarantee.
- As one Reddit user claimed, "You would be wasting your money, as there is no guarantee you could ever use it on a PC, and quite a good chance that you won't be able to."
