| 2 | | What the numbers say: According to Vorhaus Advisors, as of October 2022, 32% of adults in the U.S. who were uninterested in the metaverse said they were not interested in the overall concept or wouldn't use it. Another 15% of respondents stated they needed to learn more about the metaverse, and 4% said they were too old. Relevance: According to Bloomberg, there has been a 30% rise in metaverse users in the past year. This user surge can be attributed to the growing demand for VR headsets and the emergence of new metaverse platforms like Decentraland and Cryptovoxels. Impact: A survey conducted by Ipsos in late January 2022 revealed that 38% of U.S. adults are familiar with the metaverse, with 14% being very familiar and 24% being somewhat familiar. Additionally, 31% of respondents have heard of the metaverse but are unfamiliar. The study also highlights that younger adults, specifically those aged 18-34, are more likely to be familiar with the metaverse, with 53% claiming familiarity, compared to only 20% of adults aged 55 and older. | | |
