- JetBlue stated that it would turn its focus to its proposed merger with Spirit Airlines. The airline was selected to acquire Spirit after a bidding war against Frontier Airlines in July 2022.
- The DOJ also sued to block the JetBlue-Spirit merger due to anti-trust concerns.

| 6 | | Researchers at the University of California, Berkeley, are proposing the possibility of using battery systems in electric trains to transfer power to the grid. The researchers suggest that rail-based mobile energy storage could save $300 per kW per year in transmission line costs and $85 per kW per year in stationary battery capacity. More: - The U.S. railway system spreads across 137,000 miles, including transmission-congested regions.
- A single train has 1 GWh of battery storage capacity, the equivalent of 1,000 semi-trucks.
- "While no known technical barriers exclude RMES from grid participation, addressing interconnection challenges and revising regulatory frameworks is necessary for deployment at scale," reads the paper published in Nature Energy.
