| 1 | | Alitu, a U.K.-based podcast tech company, is beta-testing a free AI-powered tool on its platform that will help creators come up with a podcast in an hour. The tool, called Alitu Showplanner, will generate a podcast action plan for free, helping podcasters go from an idea to a launch in a minimal amount of time. More: - In order to start, a creator must answer a few questions on the Alitu Showplanner site. They'll get detailed feedback, thanks to the AI solutions, along with an action plan with all they'll need to make their idea into a podcast.
- It will give them ideas for the first five episodes, an auto-generated script for the trailer of the podcast, and access to a podcast name generator to help them come up with the perfect name.
- "Anyone who's ever started a podcast knows how tough that first step can be — taking that half-baked idea you've had floating around in your head for ages and turning it into something solid. It's the challenge that kills so many podcasts before they even begin," CEO Colin Gray says. "We created Showplanner as a way for the podcasting community to use AI as an assistant to jump the hurdle so we can go on to create the best content we've ever made."
- Once the action plan is created, users can join a free trial of Alitu to record, edit, and publish their podcasts.
- They can also join a seven-day video boot camp for podcasters.

| 2 | | What the data says: The placement of Dua Lipa: At Your Service fluctuates each week, rising as high on the Apple Podcasts' Society & Culture charts as 57 but as low as 162. The show, which recently wrapped up its third season on Sept. 1, sees peaks after an episode has been released. But then sees a sharp decline. This is also on a specific chart in the U.S., which is not where At Your Service is produced. Relevance: Persephonica, the U.K. podcast publisher behind At Your Service, The News Agents, and Political Currency, has signed with talent agency WME in hopes of winning more work in the U.S. Persephonica is developing a "big slate of shows," according to founder Dino Sofos, now that the company is moving towards expanding over the pond. At Your Service is the rare show in its current lineup that garners most of its listens from U.S. audiences. "When we have meetings with people in L.A., we say we produce At Your Service, and this is really well received," he added. "That has been a bit of a calling card for us in America." More info: Sofos said that Persephonica would produce a podcast about slavery reparations and follow a former BBC World News anchor whose ancestors were slaveowners on a journey with a Labour politician whose ancestors were most likely enslaved by the journalist's ancestors. | | |
