| Hello all! I'm looking forward to checking out Tubi's new ChatGPT-enabled AI recommendation tool. The streaming era has seen dozens, if not hundreds, of attempts to devise the perfect, algorithmic, automated recommendation engine, to serve streaming viewers with targeted, custom, helpful and above all accurate suggestions for new shows and films to watch. If I'm being perfectly honest... so far, I haven't really been blown away by any of these tools. I'm not convinced that technology has actually improved on the classic 1980s and '90s experience of going to a video store and asking the knowledgeable person behind the counter what they recommend. But I remain hopeful that one day, we can maybe get there. I'll report back on my findings. Enjoy today's issue, and thanks for opening Inside Streaming! We appreciate it! Lon p/lon-harris | |

| 4 | | NBC's "Saturday Night Live" could theoretically return to the airwaves by October. The variety and sketch comedy show can move forward once a WGA deal is finalized, as it falls under a different SAG-AFTRA contract than the one currently being negotiated. More: - "Saturday Night Live" has been dark since April 15.
- The WGA strike began in May, causing the cancellation of a scheduled May 6 "SNL" episode; Pete Davidson had been slated to return as host.
- If "Saturday Night Live" returns during an actors strike, performers -- including hosts and musical guests -- would still need to cross a SAG-AFTRA picket line.
