| Good morning/afternoon and thanks for opening today's Inside Streaming daily brief. If you haven't gotten around to Season 1 of Amazon Prime Video's "Reacher" series, I highly recommend it. It's a silly throwback action-thriller kind of show that's refreshingly straightforward. It's as simple a male power fantasy as you're likely to find: Jack Reacher is a very good man who solves problems by being clever but also by being much bigger and stronger than everyone else around him. I enjoy risk-taking, innovative Peak TV-style shows like Apple's "Foundation" or FX's "The Bear," but every once in a while, it's nice to just see something that's extremely accessible and watchable and fun. That's "Reacher." I'm excited for Season 2. Enjoy today's issue! See you back here tomorrow. Lon p/lon-harris | |
