| Good afternoon and thanks for opening today's Inside Streaming brief. Even before SAG-AFTRA members formally approve their new contract, networks, studios and streamers have slowly started re-opening for business. Netflix's Geeked Week provided a flurry of announcements about new content, but the streamer has also been announcing some fresh post-strike deals, including this very intriguing Denzel Washington/Hannibal movie from "Training Day" vet Antoine Fuqua. As well, CBS has already announced a full midseason slate, including long-delayed scripted shows that will finally make their TV debuts. To paraphrase noted actor Ronald Reagan, it's morning again in Hollywood. Enjoy today's issue and have a great week. Lon p/lon-harris | |

| 4 | | SAG-AFTRA's national board approved of its new contract with studios on Friday, and sent it along to members for ratification. The voting process will start on Tuesday and wrap up in the first week of December. More: - 86% of the national board voted to approve the new agreement on November 10.
- Union president Fran Drescher singled out the agreement's "extraordinary scope," and called it "the biggest contract-on-contract gains" in SAG-AFTRA history.
- According to the New York Times, the strike cost the state of California alone around $5 billion; nationwide losses are estimated between $6-$10 billion.
- According to industry analysts, the increased cost of producing individual films and TV series under the new contracts will likely mean a dip in overall productions over the next few years.
- The full text of the three-year agreement likely won't be publicly available for several weeks, but an 18-page summary has been released.
