- Meanwhile, developers not adopting composable architectures pointed to a lack of a clear path to begin (41%), not enough resources (29%), and a lack of the right technical talent (21%) as barriers.

| 2 | | Google announced it will roll out Tracking Protection on Jan. 4. Tracking Protection is a new feature that can limit cross-site tracking by restricting website access to third-party cookies by default. More: - The feature, deemed a significant milestone in Google's Privacy Sandbox initiative, will initially be available to 1% of Chrome users worldwide globally.
- Google believes the rollout to a small subset of users will enable developers to assess their readiness for a web ecosystem without third-party cookies.
- If Chrome detects a website is not functioning properly without third-party cookies, it will offer a prompt to re-enable them for that particular site temporarily.
- Google's ultimate objective is to phase out third-party cookies for all Chrome users by the second half of next year, contingent on addressing concerns raised by the UK's CMA.

- According to a survey by the Linux Foundation, 41% of respondents preferred open-source AI technologies, while only 9% preferred proprietary solutions.
- Further, a significant majority (95%) supported neutrality as a primary aspect of generative AI governance.
- The speech comes in the backdrop of the EU recently announcing its first-ever AI regulations, with open-source LLMs exempted after considerable pushback from the community.
