| 2 | | TechCrunch reported that OpenAI is planning to launch an app store for GPTs, custom apps built using its text-generating AI models this week. The GPT Store, introduced during DevDay, was set to be launched last month but was delayed by leadership changes at the company. More: - The store would allow developers who have been building chatbots using GPT Builder to share and sell their customized chatbots.
- A memo from OpenAI asked developers to review its updated usage policies and GPT brand guidelines to ensure compliance before listing their GPTs on the store.
- It also asked developers to verify their user profiles and ensure their GPTs are published as "public."
- However, there is no clarity on whether the store would be launched with a revenue-sharing scheme.

| 3 | | According to Palo Alto Network's Unit 42, Google fixed two configuration issues in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) last month. The issues allowed attackers with access to a Kubernetes cluster to escalate their privileges potentially. More: - In September, Palo Alto Networks submitted a report about the issues to Google, which issued fixes to address the vulnerabilities last month.
- To initiate an attack, miscreants must exploit vulnerabilities in the FluentBit container, aiming to identify remote code execution or arbitrary file read vulnerability to another container to gain access to the Node.
- The attackers then leverage FluentBit's misconfiguration to gain access to sensitive service account tokens and exploit post-installation permissions in ASM's CNI DaemonSet.
- Measures undertaken by Google to fix the issues include removing the /var/lib/kubelet/pod volume mount from the Flueny Bit pod to restrict access to projected service account tokens for other pods and modifying ASM's ClusterRole while re-architecting specific functionalities to eliminate excessive RBAC permissions.
