Blizzard has fooled more pros than any other trick, and it's finally back in stock. Tim Trono recently told me what it was like to see it for the first time. Read this, ESPECIALLY if you own Blizzard, because you'll see what a devil Dean Dill was. He modified the routine to use the pros' knowledge against them! Genius. "I remember the first time I saw Blizzard. Dean had not shown it to anyone and had been secretly working on it. I got to his shop early. Dean showed me a deck of cards and stuck it under a towel that was laying over on the side of the table. He advised he had a great deck switch and I should watch for it as a few well known fellow magicians were coming in to the shop. Soon after, Bob Kohler, Paul Wilson, Peter Mui, and a few others arrived. Dean had Paul think of any card. He asked what value Paul had thought of. Paul said "An ace." Dean openly removed the four aces and mixed them on the table. He then revealed which ace Paul had thought of. Strong trick. It fooled us. But, as was typical of Dean, we were about to get kicked in the head not even knowing what was coming... Dean slowly turned over the other three aces. They were blank. We all laughed in amazement, thinking that was the end of our beating... Then Dean turned over every other card in the deck. They were ALL blank. We all smiled but smugly dismissed it as a gimmicked deck until Dean said, "Here go ahead and look," as he handed us the cards. WHAT?! We all looked at each other wide-eyed and laughed knowing we had received the final counter punch. None of us had a clue. There was simply no answer. This is how a layman feels after being totally fooled. But I sat there thinking I knew, that I was in on the secret. A few moments later, as the others continued to rave about what they had just witnessed, Dean casually removed the towel laying off to the side, handed me the cards. They too were blank. I laughed as I started to look through those cards knowing I had been suckered. He had never even touched these. I had had my own experience. I looked up and Dean winked and gave a little laugh knowing he had beat his buddy up. That was Dean Dill. That was what magic was. Your spectator takes and shuffles the deck, then names any card at all. It's a totally free choice. 2. You line up the 4 of a kind of their chosen card, and proceed to sense which of them is the exact card they chose. Amazing? Yes, but it's nothing compared to what happens next. 3. Your reveal that their card is the only printed one in the entire deck, and incredibly, they can examine everything.
