SISSY: 2022 Australian horror-comedy starring Aisha Dee as an unstable social media influencer who re-encounters her high school bully while attending a bachelorette weekend in a remote cabin. HOCUS POCUS 2: Supernatural comedy feature following up on 1993's "Hocus Pocus," and bringing back stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson Sisters (along with Doug Jones as Billy Butcherson). In the present day, nearly 30 years after the events of the first film, the trio of evil witches reappears in Salem, forcing a new group of teens to join forces and stop them. MY BEST FRIEND'S EXORCISM: 2022 supernatural horror film based on the novel by Grady Hendrix. PHANTOM PUPS: The latest family-friendly comedy series from Air Bud Entertainment centers on two siblings who move into a spooky old house filled with phantom puppies, and try to help them become real once again. [Netflix]
RAINBOW: Musical coming-of-age drama from Spain, inspired by L. Frank Baum's "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." Dora Postigo stars as talented young singer Dora, who flees her home along with her dog Toto after fighting with her father and embarks on a journey to "Ciudad Capital." WHAT WE LEAVE BEHIND: Spanish-language documentary from filmmaker Iliana Sosa, profiling her grandfather Julián. After decades of taking bus rides into the US from Mexico to see his family, the film follows 89-year-old Julián as he makes one final journey to Texas, then returns home to build his relatives a guest house. ANÍKÚLÁPÓ: Fantasy epic from Nigeria, based on elements of Yoruba and Oyo folklore, starring Kunle Remi as an everyday craftsman who's killed over an ill-considered affair with the queen, then given a second chance at life by a mystical bird. RAMY: Ramy Youssef created and stars in this Hulu comedy series as a first-generation American Muslim living in politically divided New Jersey and facing a crisis of faith. HELL'S KITCHEN: The culinary competition series features two teams of amateur chefs going head-to-head while preparing dinner service for a full restaurant, under the watchful and judgmental eye of host Gordon Ramsay. CALL ME KAT: The Fox sitcom, a US remake of the British series "Miranda" starring Miranda Hart, returned to Fox on Thursday night for a third season; new episodes hit Hulu on Fridays.
