| 2 | | ChatGPT's mobile app achieved records in September, with 15.6 million app installs and nearly $4.6M in gross revenue. Still, data shows revenue growth for the chatbot app has slowed, decreasing from over 30% in July and August to 20% in September. Details: OpenAI launched the ChatGPT app for iPhones in May, followed by an Android version in July. What the numbers show: In June, mobile gross revenue for ChatGPT was $2.1M before rising to $2.74M in July, $3.81M in August, and a record $4.58M in September, according to the latest data from Appfigures. Meanwhile, mobile revenue growth topped 31% in July and 39% in August but fell to 20% in September. Of the 15.6 million installs in September, 9 million were from Google Play Store and 6.6 million from Apple's App Store. With the recent data, the app now claims around 52.2 million downloads. What it means: According to TechCrunch, ChatGPT subscriptions may be approaching market saturation. The service, which costs $20 per month, offers priority access during peak times, faster responses, and other perks, though users can still access ChatGPT for free without the extras.
