The first season will launch on March 19 with the astrology podcast "Stars and Stars with Isa." More: - Listen Next will partner with State Farm to work with diverse-led production to provide an opportunity for the next generation of podcasters to break through.

| 2 | | What the data says: Last month, the average cost per thousand downloads or CPM for a 60-second podcast ad was the exact same cost as it was in February of last year. February 2024's average CPM was $21.99, a rise from January's not-often-seen low of $21.61. In fact, the average CPM hadn't been been as low as January 2023's since September 2020, when the CPM was $21.06. Relevance: LibSyn, the all-in-one podcast platform used by creators and advertisers, released its February 2024 Podcast Advertising Rates. LibSyn's AdvertiseCast marketplace, which is used by advertisers to choose which podcasts are right for them to advertise on, puts out the data and utilizes data for 1,630 podcasts divided into categories based on average listeners per show. The cost per thousand downloads is an important metric currently because of the iOS 17 changes that have affected the total number of downloads for a variety of shows over the past few months. More data: LibSyn found that the three highest CPM categories in February based on delivered advertising were Technology ($27), Education ($25), and Arts ($25). It also noted that advertisers can utilize Fiction, Games, and Music podcasts if they want more accessible CPM rates with highly engaged audiences. | | |
