| Thanks for opening today's Inside Streaming! It sounds like HBO is determined to make some kind of new show with the "I Think You Should Leave" duo, Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin, as they're now on their second high-concept comedy pilot for the network. I get why HBO wants them. "ITYSL" may not have global recognition, but it's a cult favorite among just about every hardcore comedy fan that I know. It seems unthinkable to me that Netflix wouldn't spend whatever it needs to in order to hang on to those guys. Tim Robinson is one of the few true breakout Netflix stars, who became famous specifically because of his Netflix content. Outside of the "Stranger Things" cast and maybe a few "Squid Game" vets, it's hard to think of truly notable celebrities who owe their popularity entirely to Netflix. You'd think it'd be in Netflix's interest to keep those folks in-house rather than immediately losing them to movie studios (as they did with "Bridgerton" favorite Regé-Jean Page after just one season) or TV networks.
