The podcast network’s monthly reach increased to 32 million listeners in the U.S., up 49% from last year. More: - The network’s multicultural crowd has grown, thanks to new shows like The Black Effect, My Cultura, Seneca Women, and Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players.
- Podcast ad revenue is on track to reach $200M by end of the year, buoyed by a 184% increase in the third quarter.
- iHeart has the most shows with over 1 million downloads and two and half times as many ranked shows across Podtrac’s 19 genres as its nearest competitors.
- Business and entertainment podcasts saw downloads increase by 133% and 80% respectively.

Ten Percent Happier will launch its own podcast studio, buoyed by the success of its podcast during the pandemic. A team of 10 producers and editors, including Jen Poytant and Kimmie Regler, will develop shows about everyday life and mindfulness. More: - The first podcast to be launched by the studio, titled “Childproof,” will see host Yasmeen Khan explore the foundations of parent-child relationships and share mindful parenting tips.
- The studio aims to launch three more shows over the next six months, covering areas such as meditative coaching, parenting, and featuring dialogues with experts in meditation, psychology, sleep, and science.
- More Than A Feeling, hosted by Saleem Reshamwala, is expected to debut in the spring.
