The Shiba Inu metaverse aims to sell 35,000 plots of digital land in a period of 10 days. Holders of "Shibverse's" token are given the first opportunity to buy the virtual land using the platform's native token, LEASH. More: - The Shiba Inu metaverse holds 99,000 total plots of digital land, and currently, only 35,000 are going up for sale. The exact date is unknown, and prices will vary by location.
- Access to the digital portal is only given to the owners of LEASH, a token that belongs to Shiba Inu.
- The goal is for users to unlock the tokens in an unspecified time frame, and the users that unlock the highest number of tokens will have bidding rights to the largest plots of land.
- If a user unlocks 0.2 LEASH, they can purchase 1x1 parcels of land, unlocking 5 Leash will enable a 10x10 land purchase, and so forth.
- Users can only purchase land using ETH and have to take Ethereum gas fees into consideration when bidding.
Zoom out: - Neil Mandt, The founder and CEO of Metaverse Rights, explains that NFTs and the metaverse will disrupt the real estate industry in a significant way in 2022.
- Like many, you may be wondering why people are buying virtual plots of land in the metaverse for thousands if not millions of dollars.
- Mandt explains that real estate assets, whether real or virtual, are based on trust, and people have this belief that the value of virtual real estate will increase over time. Simply put, he says, "they trust the asset and its potential."
- Location, the availability of goods and services, and infrastructure design, among other things, will help the virtual real estate market grow.
- In the future, property owners in the physical world can potentially benefit from augmented reality and virtual worlds and generate revenue through various AR advertising opportunities.

More: - The third-party evaluation will include human rights in the metaverse, civil and psychological harm that can be caused by other users, discriminating racial comments, and more.
