Ho-Yeon Jung "Squid Game" was the most honored TV series at this weekend's Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, taking home three trophies. The Korean Netflix thriller series took the top prizes for Best Drama Actor (Lee Jung-jae) and Best Drama Actress (Ho-Yeon Jung), as well as the shared award for Best Stunt Ensemble. More: HBO's "Succession" won the Drama Ensemble prize, while Apple's "Ted Lasso" took home the corresponding award for Comedy. On the film side, Apple's "CODA" -- a Best Picture nominee -- took the top prize for Motion Picture Cast and Male Actor in a Supporting Role for Tony Kotsur. Jean Smart won the Comedy Actress prize for her work in "Hacks," and her "Mare of Easttown" co-star Kate Winslet won the top prize for a female actor in a TV Movie or Mini-series. Michael Keaton took the top TV Movie or Miniseries prize for male actors for his work in Hulu's "Dopesick." Because the Golden Globes were not televised this year, and the Critics Choice Awards have been delayed until March, the SAG Awards were the first televised award show of the 2022 Oscar season. During Sinclar Broadcast Group's latest earnings call, CEO Chris Ripley discussed plans for a new sports-themed streaming service. Sinclair ultimately aims to provide a platform for fans to stream local-market professional football, baseball, and hockey games without a cable subscription. More: Sinclair owns 21 local sports channels under the "Bally Sports" brand name; these networks are currently available only through cable TV or satellite. The company purchased its regional sports channels from Disney as part of a $9.6 billion deal in 2019. Both the NBA and NHL have given Sinclair approval to stream their content, but Major League Baseball (MLB) has held out so far, potentially weighing the launch of their own streaming service. Under the current terms of their agreement, Sinclair would need to individually purchase the streaming rights from each professional baseball team individually. So far, five MLB teams have signed with Sinclair: the Detroit Tigers, the Kansas City Royals, the Tampa Bay Rays, the Miami Marlins and the Milwaukee Brewers. BLOOMBERG

This season's judges include Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie; Ryan Seacrest hosts. [Hulu] MILLION DOLLAR WHEELS: Debut reality series from executive producer Jamie Foxx starring celebrity car dealer RD Whittington, who has sold vehicles to Kim Kardashian, Tom Holland, and others. Season 1 features appearances from J Balvin, TikTok star Tayler Holder, and others. [Discovery+] MURDOCH MYSTERIES: Season 15 of the Canadian mystery-drama series -- based on the "Detective Murdoch" novels by Maureen Jennings -- aired on CBC in the fall and hits Acorn TV in the US today. Yannick Bisson stars as William Murdoch, a police detective working in Toronto in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. [Acorn TV] CHAPPELLE'S HOME TEAM: EARTHQUAKE: LEGENDARY: The first special from host-producer Dave Chappelle's new four-part "Home Team" series features fellow Washington DC stand-up and actor Earthquake. Topics include disciplining your kids, prostate exams, and managing your personal finances. [Netflix] TWO SENTENCE HORROR STORIES: Season 3 of the anthology horror series aired earlier this year on The CW and comes to Netflix today. [Netflix] MY WONDERFUL LIFE (MOJE WSPANIALE ŻYCIE): Comedy-drama feature from Polish writer/director Lukasz Grzegorzek, starring Agata Buzek as a middle-aged woman who feels stretched thin between her duties as a teacher, wife, mother, daughter, and grandmother. [Netflix] A BUSINESS PROPOSAL: Romantic comedy-drama series from South Korea, based on a webcomic, starring Kim Se-Jeong as a single woman who goes on a blind date posing as a friend, with the intention of scaring the suitor off. She's shocked, however, to discover that her date for the evening is the CEO (Ahn Hyo-Seop) of the company where she works, and that he's dead-set on proposing marriage. [Netflix] BELOW DECK: SAILING YACHT: Bravo reality series spun off from the original "Below Deck," about the lives of crew members who live and work aboard the luxury sailing yacht Parsifal III. The third season features Captain Glenn Shepard, Chief Engineer Colin Macrae, First Officer Gary King, Chef Marcos Spaziani, and others touring around Spain, and hits Peacock today. [Peacock] MY BRILLIANT FRIEND: The Italian drama series -- based on author Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan novels -- returns to HBO for a third season, after a two-year hiatus. The new season is based on Ferrante's novel "Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay," and follows the lives of childhood friends Lenu (Margherita Mazzucco) and Lila (Gaia Girace) in the 1970s, after they have grown apart. New showrunner and director Daniele Luchetti takes over the series this year. [HBO Max]

Peacock ordered a first season for a live-action series based on the "Twisted Metal" video game franchise. Anthony Mackie will executive produce the series and also stars as a motor-mouthed milkman who accepts a dangerous job delivering a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. More: The series comes from Sony Pictures TV, its Playstation Productions division, and Universal Television. "Deadpool" and "Zombieland" duo Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick developed the series; "Cobra Kai" vet Michael Jonathan Smith wrote the scripts and will serve as showrunner. Will Arnett -- who first secured the rights to the game and helped develop the project in its early stages -- is also onboard as an executive producer. DEADLINE

"The Baby" NEW TRAILERS THE MISSING CHILDREN: Three-part true-crime docuseries about Ireland's Mother and Baby Home scandal, investigating the system through which thousands of unwed mothers were sent to institutions -- most of them operated by Catholic nuns -- to deliver their babies. In particular, the film centers on the Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home of Tuam, where the bodies of nearly 800 babies and children were discovered in a mass grave. The series debuts on March 3 in its entirety. [Topic] THE SHOP: The LeBron James chat series moves to Uninterrupted's YouTube channel from HBO -- thanks to new sponsor Grey Goose -- for its upcoming fifth season. Guests include Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, actor and musician Donald Glover, "Abbott Elementary" creator/writer/star Quinta Brunson, and musical artist J Balvin. The first episode premieres on March 4. [YouTube] TRANSFORMERS: BOTBOTS: This debut animated series from Hasbro's Entertainment One is the first comedy in the "Transformers" franchise, and centers on a group of robots that disguise themselves as everyday items in a mall. Kevin Burke and Chris "Doc" Wyatt -- who both worked on "Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy" -- executive produce and showrun the new series, which arrives on March 25. [Netflix] BETTER NATE THAN EVER: Family musical comedy, based on the 2013 novel by Tim Federle, who also created "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series." Federle will write and direct the film, which stars stage musical vet Rueby Wood as a 13-year-old who dreams of making it big on Broadway. Aria Brooks, "HSM:TM:TS" vet Joshua Bassett, and Lisa Kudrow co-star. The movie debuts on April 1. [Disney+] THE BABY: Eight-episode horror-comedy series from HBO and Sky starring Michelle De Swarte as a 38-year-old new mom who begins to question the nature of her cute but manipulative, powerful, and even violent infant. The show comes from Sian Robins-Grace ("Sex Education") and newcomer Lucy Gaymer. It arrives on April 24. [HBO Max]

Brown Findlay and Welsh Paramount+ ordered a first season for "Flatshare," a London-set drama series starring "Downton Abbey" vet Jessica Brown Findlay and Anthony Welsh of "The Great." The order is part of an overall push into more international content for the streamer. More: The series is based on a novel by Beth O'Leary, and comes from first-time writer/producer Rose Lewenstein, a playwright. Brown Findlay and Welsh co-star as cash-strapped twenty-something strangers who work at different times of the day and agree to "time-share" the same apartment; over time, they become unwittingly pulled into one another's lives. Bart Edwards, Shaq B Grant, Shaniqua Okwok and Jonah Hauer-King co-star. HOLLYWOOD REPORTER

Netflix greenlit an eight-part crime thriller series from the UK, based on the Si Spencer graphic novel "Bodies." The story follows four London detectives in four different time periods who are investigating the same murder. More: The 2015 graphic novel centers on a murder in Whitechapel, and has segments set in the 1890s, the 1940s, the 2010s, and the 2050s. "Torchwood" vet Paul Tomalin created the series and will write episodes alongside Danusia Samal ("The Great"). Marco Kreutzpaintner ("Beat") and Haolu Wang ("Doctor Who") will direct episodes. FuboTV added 185,000 new subscribers during the fourth quarter of 2021, bringing the streamer to 1.13 million total. In a statement released along with the company's earnings report, Fubo's team theorized that "a narrow content portfolio is insufficient for most consumers' needs." More: Fubo trails other services offering a streaming replacement for live television, including Hulu with Live TV (4.3 million subscribers) and Sling TV (2.55 million subscribers). Google hasn't reported subscriber numbers for its YouTube TV platform since October 2020, but had around 3 million at that point. CORD CUTTERS NEWS

Eddie Murphy in "Beverly Hills Cop" Netflix will receive $60.3 million in new tax credits from the State of California, the most of any network or studio. Four Netflix films -- including "Beverly Hills Cop 4" and the Jerry Seinfeld Pop Tart comedy "Unfrosted" -- will be allowed to offset their state tax liability as an incentive to keep production in California. More: Coming in after Netflix were Amazon, taking $43.3 million in incentives; Disney, with $27.2 million in tax credits; and Warner Bros., which will receive $16.2 million in credits. Netflix's "Atlas" and "Family Leave" will also be produced in California. In total, the California Film Commission awarded $149.2 million in tax credits to 30 film productions, setting a new record.
