More: - "The Joe Rogan Experience" has been the most-played podcast on Spotify every year since the first year of Rogan and Spotify's initial deal in 2020.
- The new deal has been estimated to be around $250M, but the actual terms have not been disclosed.
- While Spotify has had exclusive rights to the distribution of the podcast, the new deal does not include that, and the show will soon be available on other platforms, such as Apple Podcasts.
- The show has released more than 2,200 episodes since it debuted in 2009.
Zoom Out: - This deal follows a recent trend of Spotify giving up exclusivity for its original podcasts. Last week, it was announced that "Call Her Daddy," the popular podcast hosted by Alex Cooper, would no longer be a Spotify exclusive.
