Happy Halloween and thanks for opening today's Inside Streaming brief. Two big theatrical films hit streaming platforms in the US today. Sony's ongoing deal with Netflix brings home the smash-hit animated superhero film "Across the Spider-Verse" while 20th Century Studios' third star-studded Poirot film goes to Hulu. I'm consistently surprised by the fact that streaming platforms don't do any promotion for these films hitting their services at all. The idea, I suppose, is that putting it on the front page is enough. When people go to Hulu tonight to see what's on, they'll be delighted to find the new Branagh on there. Still, it couldn't hurt to at least put the word out there that these services are great places to check out fresh Hollywood films, just weeks after they debut in theaters. Hulu gets a ton of theatrical films and I'm not sure if mainstream consumers even know to look for them on there in between "Only Murders" seasons. Enjoy today's issue and be safe out there tonight!
