The plan would still require the approval of the works council. More: - The news comes as version 1.2 of the software architecture Audi Q6 E-Tron and the Porsche Macan was delayed by 16 to 18 weeks.
- Version 2.0 of the software architecture is being completely redeveloped, as is the automaker's scalable systems platform.
- In May, VW replaced Cariad's CEO Dirk Hilgenberg with Peter Bosch, who previously was an executive on the Bentley team. The automaker also let go of CFO Thomas Sedran and CTO Lynn Longo as it sought to accelerate development timelines.

2 | Ford announced it is adding three EV charger providers, with a total of 10,000 units, to its BlueOval Network in the U.S. and Canada. The deal includes Francis Energy, Blink Charging, and Red E. More: - 25% of the chargers added to the network consist of 550 DC fast charging units.
- The three companies join ChargePoint, Electrify America, EVGo, and Shell, among other providers of the Ford network.
- The BlueOval Network reached 11,800 EV chargers.
- The automaker also announced that it will provide access to its customers to 15,000 Tesla Supercharger stations, up from the previously expected 12,000.

3 | General Motors reached a tentative agreement with the United Auto Workers union after more than six weeks of strikes. The agreement would include increasing the maximum wage to $40 per hour and the starting wage to $28 an hour. More: - The automaker had revealed last week that the strikes had cost it $800M.
- Deutsche Bank is estimating that GM's deal with the UAW will cost the company a total of $7.2B, compared to Ford's $6.2B and Stellantis' $6.4B.
- The agreement comes a day after the UAW had been planning to expand strikes at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
- Over 20,000 GM workers participated in the strikes.

4 | The Department of Transportation filed a report for lifting the number of weekly flights between the U.S. and China from 48 to 70. The new flights will be divided between American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, and five Chinese airlines. More: - The flight limits between the two countries were set in place during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to that, the U.S. and China had 340 flights per week.
- The flight increases follow a visit by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Washington to meet with Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
- United Airlines was up 1.28%, Delta 1.53%, and American Airlines 2.06% for the day on Monday morning.

5 | Stellantis reached a tentative deal with Unifor, a Canadian workers union, on Monday morning. More than 8,200 Unifor-represented workers have been on strike across multiple facilities, including assembly plants for the Chrysler 300, Pacifica minivan, and Doge Challenger and Charger vehicles. More: - The news comes within days of Stellantis reaching an agreement with the United Auto Workers union in the U.S., where approximately 43,000 workers were on strike for more than six weeks.
- As with the deals with Ford and GM, Stellantis agreed to up to 25% in hourly wage increases, cost-of-living allowances, and a reduction in the time required to reach the top wage bracket.

6 | Uber announced it is importing 10,000 electric vehicles from BYD as it seeks to go 100% carbon emissions-free in the country by 2040. The ride-sharing company plans to make them available to drivers via flexible financing. More: - In Q3, 1.2 million Uber rides were taken on an electric vehicle in Australia.
- During the past quarter, there were 2,400 EVs on the platform in Australia, up from fewer than 100 in 2021.
- The vehicles would consist of the Atto 3 model, which Uber would make available for $269 a week via its Flex program through a partnership with vehicle importer EVDirect.
- A driver survey reported that 67% would switch to electric cars, but only 20% could afford to do so.
